Terms of Service

Welcome to Mustang Mafia. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Mustang Mafia mobile application ("App"), operated by Mustang Mafia, a private car club with chapters in New Orleans LA, Baton Rouge LA, Oklahoma City OK, and Thomasville NC ("we," "us," or "the Club"). Mustang Mafia is an independent owners' club and is not affiliated with Ford Motor Company. By creating an account or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

In short: The App is a private tool for members of the Mustang Mafia car club. Be respectful. We have zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. Marketplace deals are between members. Cruises, meets, and drives happen at your own risk.

1. Eligibility and Membership

You must be at least 13 years old to use the App.
Membership is by approval: you request to join a chapter, and a chapter leader reviews and approves the request. Creating an account does not guarantee acceptance.
Leaders may approve, deny, suspend, or remove membership at their discretion.
You agree to provide accurate information when creating your account and to keep it up to date.

2. Your Account

You create an account with an email address and password. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for anything that happens under your account. Notify us immediately at brandt.random@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Post content that is illegal, hateful, threatening, harassing, sexually explicit, or otherwise objectionable
Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with a chapter
Upload viruses or malicious code
Spam, solicit, or send unsolicited messages
Use the App for any unlawful purpose
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other accounts or systems
Scrape, harvest, or collect other members' data without consent

4. Zero Tolerance for Objectionable Content

Mustang Mafia has zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. This includes slurs, hate speech, harassment, threats, sexually explicit content, and illegal content, and it includes any user whose conduct is abusive toward other members.

The App automatically filters slurs and sexually explicit language before a message is sent. On top of that automatic filter:

Report: you can report any message, post, listing, photo, event, poll, announcement, build, or profile directly from inside the App.
Block: you can block any user at any time to stop seeing their content and stop them from contacting you.
Leader review: chapter leaders review every report and act within 24 hours — removing the offending content and suspending or removing the offending user as warranted.
Channel mutes: leaders can also mute a disruptive user in a specific channel.

We and chapter leaders may remove content, issue warnings, or suspend or terminate accounts for violating these Terms, at our discretion and without prior notice.

5. Content You Post

You retain ownership of content you post (messages, photos, videos, listings, and so on).
By posting content in the App, you grant Mustang Mafia a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, display, and distribute that content within the App for the purpose of operating the service.
You are solely responsible for the content you post. Do not post anything you do not have the right to share, and do not post photos of people who have not consented to being photographed or shared within the Club.

6. Marketplace

Marketplace listings are transactions between members. The Club does not process marketplace payments and is not a party to any sale, purchase, or trade made through a marketplace listing. Buyers and sellers are responsible for their own transactions.

7. Dues and Payments

Chapter dues are for real-world club membership and are charged through Stripe. Your card details go directly to Stripe; we never see or store full card numbers. Dues are billed according to the plan you select in the App, and canceling a subscription stops future charges but does not automatically refund amounts already paid, except as required by law.

8. Events, Cruises, and Meets

Events, cruises, and meets listed in the App are organized by individual chapters and members, not by Mustang Mafia as a corporate entity.
You participate at your own risk. You are responsible for your own safety, for obeying all traffic laws, and for the condition of your vehicle.
Cruise Mode helps members stay in touch during group drives. It is not a navigation or safety system, and you should not rely on it for emergencies.
Do not use the App while driving. Pull over before checking messages, RSVPs, or the map.

9. Intellectual Property

The App, its design, code, logo, and branding are owned by Mustang Mafia and its licensors. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or create derivative works of the App without our written permission.

10. Termination

You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time from within the App (Profile → Settings → Delete account).
We may suspend or terminate your access to the App, with or without notice, if you violate these Terms, if your continued use poses a risk to other members, or if required by law.
Sections that by their nature should survive termination (intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability) will survive.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. Use of the App, and participation in cruises, meets, and events, is at your own risk.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Mustang Mafia and its leaders, admins, and volunteers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, any event or cruise, or the conduct of other members.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Louisiana, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the App. Continued use of the App after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
